Submit a Film to the 2009 Baltimore Women's Film Festival

The Baltimore Women's Film Festival is now accepting entries for its 2009 events. The festival is dedicated and focused on seeking out and promoting cinema created by and for women.

The festival is open to all types of cinema in which women played a vital role in creation and completion, or films on topics which are highly relevant to women.

Festival competitive categories include Documentary, Feature Film, Short Comedy, Short Drama, Music Videos, Experimental Films and Animated Films. The Baltimore Women's Film Festival also has a local filmmaker's showcase highlighting films by Baltimore and Washington DC area filmmakers, and an International Women's Filmmaker Showcase highlighting films from outside the US.

Criteria for consideration include:
1. Movie was directed, written, shot, animated, produced or edited by a woman.
2. Movie features a strong performance by a female actress or actresses
3. Movie is based on a topic highly relevant to women
(movies directed and/or written by men are welcome as long as they fit into category 2 or 3)

Festival entries will be considered for the 2009 edition of the festival in October 2009 and also the Baltimore Women's
Film Festival promotional event taking place Spring 2009.
